The romantic comedy My Fake Boyfriend offers up a hilarious, heartwarming tale that fans will not want to miss, and it’s no surprise that many out there are eager to know if the incredibly entertaining feature is an option on the streamer Netflix.
Keiynan Lonsdale stars in My Fake Boyfriend as a young man named Andrew who finds himself in a very precarious situation after he lets his friend Jake convince him to create a fake relationship on social media in order to make his ex-lover jealous. But things don’t necessarily go as planned for the ambitious man looking for love, and he was definitely not expecting breaking up with a person that isn’t real to be such an arduous task.
Also starring in My Fake Boyfriend alongside Lonsdale is a stellar lineup featuring Dylan Sprouse, Sarah Hyland, Samer Salem, and Marcus Rosner. Directing the well-crafted rom-com is none other than Rose Troche, who has director credits for FBI, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, All American, and Shameless.
The runtime for My Fake Boyfriend is a rather reasonable one hour and thirty minutes. In addition, the movie has garnered a solid score on Rotten Tomatoes. But is it on the streamer?
While it would be an ideal addition to the lineup, and subscribers would not be disappointed by the entertaining narrative, not every exceptional title finds a place on the streamer. Unfortunately, My Fake Boyfriend is not available on Netflix, and it is unclear if the current situation will change at any time in the near future.
Luckily for subscribers everywhere, Netflix isn’t lacking when it comes to great romantic comedies, and it’s even safe to say the streamer has a plethora of excellent titles to choose from in this department. Some of the worthy endeavors to behold include The Kissing Booth, The Half of It, Always Be My Maybe, Holidate, and To All The Boys, just to name a few.
